Hello all, I am not sure if this is a place where I can insert some research info and get some help or not. I HAVE done some extensive work and are at the brickwall. Briefly, I will mention that my Grandaunt Mary Ellen Kelly, who was born 1833 in Roscommon (her brother Michael born in Ballynakill, Galway,1830 in a county which sounded like "Ardow" at his death with his wife's heavy Irish accent) Mary Ellen Kelly married in America in 1856 to Edward O'Dea(b. Limerick, 1833) and they became the parents of Bishop Edward John O'Dea, the first Catholic Bishop of Seattle Washington USA. I am stopped at that Kelly link and the O'Dea link. I thought there could be someone out there who may recognize this information. I would so much like to be able to find a connection to their locale because I cannot find any county that sounds like Ardow in that area of Roscommon and Galway. I assume it is the Hy Many area as well.
