My name is Austin Kelly, 67 years old, lived my entire life in Chicago, IL. My father and grandfather, both named Austin also lived on the south side of Chicago.
My great, grandfather, Edward Kelly was born 1825, on Clare Island, County Mayo. He died Dec. 9, 1890, Chicago Il. His wife's name was Bridget, born in 1835, on Clare Island also, I believe. She died March, 16, 1918, Chicago Il.
I would appreciate any direction which could be provided. I would love to determine and visit the location were my great, grandfather lived.

Austin it sounds like you are of the Uimaine branch of the Ó Ceallaigh family. A lot of Kellys moved west after the battle of Aughrim in 1691. Like you I spent many years researching my lost family, but it was not until I did a DNA test that I got onto the correct road.
With a DNA result you will know where to focus and possibly link up with other 'lost' members of your extended family.
