My great grandfather was named Patrick Kelly. He was a merchant navy captain based, I assume in Drogheda. My great grandmother was Brigid Pigott and they married in 1906 in st Peters RC church in Drogheda. They had 1 child, my grandmother Eileen, and then separated, he sailed to the USA where he apparently died in San Francisco. I don't know when this was but he was listed as deceased on my grandparents marriage certificate in 1928. I have no statistics on this man at all and no-one still alive, in my family, ever met him. I would love to know more about him and would be really grateful for any help that any of you could offer.
